Thriving Ink & Co., located at 520 Main Street, is much more than a clothing store for local hipsters- although the clientele is pretty sweatshop-free, fashionable. Trendy customers of all ages can appreciate the art print tees from Thriving Ink, which curates global art to stamp on American-made apparel that fill shop. The store, which also carries other indie T-shirt, apparel, and jewelry brands, is housed in a historical building which was originally a saddlery circa 1889.
The company, owned by Pleasanton’s Dronkers family, is actively involved in local outreach aimed at uplifting independent business, art, music, and nonprofit organizations in the Bay Area. Thriving Ink & Co. regularly hosts evening concerts, live art, and wine tasting events in their outdoor venue The Backyard. And on a weekday afternoons you can usually find a younger customer base enjoying the relaxed vibe of the shop, sketching or sharing their latest music finds with the TI staff. But regardless of whose taking advantage of the artistic energy-filled space, it’s always flowing with creativity.
